National Training Week (NTW) 2026: Breaking Barriers Online
Transformed Their Workflow with NotebookLM
For the past two years, my National Training Week (NTW) workshops were all about hands-on, high-energy sessions in physical classrooms and vibrant shopping malls across Kuching, sharing session for Impactful Graphic Design and Capcut Video Editing with AI.
This year, I took a leap into a brand-new format: my very first fully online NTW virtual workshop.
The response completely blew me away. Within just 24 hours of launching the registration, all 50 available slots were completely snapped up! On the event day, 28 dedicated participants logged in from across Malaysia, they were joining from Selangor, Penang, Johor, Sarawak, and other states.

Review the number of NTW's Participantion
High Engagement: The Numbers
56% Attendance: 28 out of 50 registered people joined the live session.
90% Satisfaction: Participants gave the class an average rating of 4.5 out of 5!
100% Retention: All 28 participants stayed with me from the start until the very end.
The chat box was constantly buzzing! Participants introduced themselves, shared their professional backgrounds, rapidly responded to prompts, and asked deep, thoughtful questions that proved they were actively testing the concepts in real time.
Future-Proofing Our Skills in an AI World
We started the session by addressing a topic that hits close to home for many of us: Malaysia's rising corporate restructuring and layoff rates driven by rapid digital transformation and the AI revolution.
The reality is clear: to prepare for a rainy day, we must continuously upgrade our skillset. I was immensely proud to see these professionals invest their lunch hours into active upskilling rather than stepping away.
To deliver maximum value in a short window, I broke down the 3 Essential Pillars to Master NotebookLM:
-
Navigating the Interface & Core Tools: Getting comfortable with source management and layout efficiency.
-
Instant Mind Mapping: Transforming dense source materials into structured visual workflows (and how to easily troubleshoot common bug fixes!).
-
Automated Presentation Decks: Turning synthesized notes into high-impact presentation frameworks.
Beyond the basics, we covered practical prompting techniques and customized persona engineering to show participants how subtle adjustments in phrasing dramatically change the quality and tone of their output.
What Our Learners Had to Say
Seeing participants unlock lightbulb moments is the ultimate reward for any facilitator. Here is feedback from our attendees shared after the session in the evaluation form:

Never Stop Learning
National Training Week continues to be an incredible platform, providing free, high-value workshops every year for Malaysians to explore emerging tech, upskill, and grow together.
To everyone who spent their afternoon with me: thank you for your incredible energy, curiosity, and commitment. Tools will always evolve, but your proactive mindset to keep learning is what will truly set you apart in the future workforce.
Keep experimenting, keep prompting, and never stop upgrading yourself!
